Police have used tear gas to break up a demonstration by labour activists protesting the arrests of alleged perpetrators of the Rana Plaza building collapse at Shahbag intersection in Dhaka.
The demonstration broke out after a group of workers claimed that 12 people suspected of having links with the collapse had been apprehended and taken to the headquarters of the country’s army in Dhaka.
“They were beaten up and the police used tear gas to disperse the crowd at Shahbag,” said Ahmedur Rashid Chaudhury, a workers leader in the garment industry.
The demonstrators had earlier held a rally in front of the factory building and demanded that the army hand over the detained men.
“There have been no further developments, the security forces have not communicated with us.”
Another leading garment worker and a member of Sajik Tara Shilpi Jote, the central committee of the ruling Awami League, Mustafizur Rahman, said the demonstrators had been dispersed by tear gas and batons.
“A number of people were beaten up. Workers from several factories were detained and around 30 people were taken to the office of the army in the capital,” he told AFP.
But Bangladeshi media reported that 13 suspected members of an illegal factory were arrested, along with four others, from different parts of the country, near the capital Dhaka.
The factory’s 20,000 workers went on strike on Tuesday, after midnight, demanding the safe return of the missing workers.

This is me explaining some of the issues we ran into when starting on the project. We are from the audio engineering department at CAT (Computer Audio Technologies) in Barcelona and we are working with some really cool, informative and interactive people from the world of digital audio. We are trying to create something new.

Let’s look at some sample files to understand what is going on here.
File A: Some C major chord played on a guitar
The song starts with the guitar (Guitar, vocals, Bass).
Then we get the autocorrect errors.
Next, the hand-corrected autocorrect errors.
The chip transposed in the song and listened.
A Marked +3 semitone above the correct C major triad.
The chip negated a voice note (one time only).
Fixed the scale of the song and now we got some errors.
We removed some frequencies from the chip.
The chip added a voice note.
Three times the chip fixed the octave.
All the time we are listening to the chip.
But this is the last part before the correction autocorrection.
After the correction autocorrection is done.
